Fooled 03:57
So long for picture perfect So long with I'm just lucky I guess Cause my eyes are wide open now I can see that I'm no grade above the rest I've been fooled I've been fooled by this world I've been fooled I've been fooled by this world My foundation's been shaken Sanity's been taken for a ride Can't help but just sit and dangle Watch the mess of my life untangle I've been fooled I've been fooled by this world I've been fooled I've been fooled by this world There's a father of lies I know he's a waiting I know he's just a waiting There's a father of lies He's a waiting for me Oh he's a waiting There's a father of lies He's a waiting Oh he's a waiting I've been fooled I've been fooled by this world I've been fooled I've been fooled by this world

All this pain I wonder if I'll ever find my way I wonder if my life could really change At all All this earth Could all that is lost ever be found Could a garden come up from this ground At all You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of dust You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of us All around Life is springing up from this old ground Out of chaos life is being found In You You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of dust You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of us (x2) And He loves us Oh how He loves us Oh how He loves us Oh how He loves You make me new You are making me new You make me new You are making me new (x3)

Clarity 04:32
I often wonder who you are I often wonder if you're far From the dreams I keep to me Will they become reality Will they become reality Do I already know your face Have I escaped from your embrace Was it clear or was I blinded by All the fear I held inside All the fear I held inside Feelings so fleeting Here one moment gone the next Driven to confusion My emotions a wreck So I pray Clarity come to me, stay a while Come and sit next to me and speak The truth I cannot see Clarity won't you come come Come to me Have I wasted too much time Making my list that has to rhyme With all the things I think I need If you'll be good enough for me If you'll be good enough for me Feelings so fleeting Here one moment gone the next Driven to confusion My emotions a wreck So I pray Clarity come to me, stay a while Come and sit next to me and speak The truth I cannot see Clarity won't you come come Come to me

Without You 04:03
I used to think I didn't need a man Got it all figured out Got my plan Who's got time for that anyway I'm fine, I'm young, I'm okay But then you came into my life so unsuspecting Charmed your way to my heart left me wanting More and more of you everyday Never thought I could feel this way Without you my mornings wouldn't be as bright Wouldn't go through the day with a smile so wide Lookin' forward to the evening time That you and I spend together So what tomorrow brings Let it surprise me You're so so worth it Cause now I see Without you my mornings wouldn't be as bright Wouldn't go through the day with a smile so wide Lookin' forward to the evening time That you and I spend together

Mercy 03:22
Your past my future I say I lay it all at the altar Your failures I empower With my every selfish desire Offense I've taken Unfairness I've granted Mercy my treasure I've buried deep down under Mine to keep but never give Who am I To deserve a love like you Who am I Apologies unspoken Waiting for the wrong to be righted I hold out hoping It's my silence that confronts them That they'd see what I see That they'd feel what I feel Mercy withholding Dare I think somehow I'm owed it Mine to keep but never give Who am I To deserve a love like you Who am I To deserve a love like you Act justly Love mercy Walk humbly with your God (x3) Mine to keep and always give Who am I To deserve a love like you Who am I To deserve a love like you

Oh my baby when you're older Maybe then you'll understand You have angels to dance around your shoulders Cause at times in life you'll need a helping hand Oh my baby when you're praying Leave your burden by my door You have Jesus standing at your bedside To keep you calm and keep you safe away from harm Worry not my daughters Worry not my sons Child when life don't seem worth livin' Come to Jesus and let him hold you in his arms Oh my baby when you're cryin' Never hide your face from me I have conquered hell and driven out the demons I have come with the light to set you free To set your free Worry not my daughters Worry not my sons Child when life don't seem worth livin' Come to Jesus and let him hold you in his arms Oh my baby when you're dyin' Believe the healing of His hands Here in Heaven we'll wait for your arrival Here in Heaven you'll finally understand

Still Here 02:55
You've seen me through my darkest days When I didn't know my way Robbed of hope thinkin' life's a joke Dreading each new day Lost my footing stopped believing No words left to say The sand beneath me, sinking Where's my solid ground I caught a glimpse of light last night Overshadowed the dark Something deep down inside Finally felt right Tears cried in secret Fears relinquished Cradled by Your care Loving Spirit gently whispers I'm still here

Like a time bomb you've tick tocked your way here Selfishly blaming the last ten years Set yourself up to fail Compromising will tell What are words when you've kept silent What are words when you've kept silent The damage you've done This facade you have spun Can't cower anymore Dare you point your finger Revert to child behavior What are words when you've kept silent Becoming the very thing Spent your whole life hating Filling the shoes you never forgave Now you're lying in the bed that you've made The bed that you've made Whoa, whoa, whoa What are words, what are words What are words, what are words What are words Becoming the very thing Spent your whole life hating Filling the shoes you never forgave Now you're lying in the bed that you've made The bed that you've made Whoa, whoa, whoa What are words, what are words What are words, what are words What are words Just words (x6) Like a time bomb you've tick tocked your way here Selfishly blaming the last ten years Set yourself up to fail Compromising will tell What are words when you've kept silent What are words when you've kept silent

I used to hang onto every word Followed your every move Remembered every touch You work so hard You've risked it all I see the sacrifice But somewhere in between Life and love and the other stuff We got lost Hit by reality What happened to our daydreams And the simple things We loved so much Am I strong enough to fight these storms of life Wanna have what it takes to make it by your side Wanna be what you need Want it to be you and me baby I try to play it tough Put my game face on But you know that only lasts so long Grin and bear it forgive and forget it, move on I promised myself I wouldn't let you see Certain parts of me Well, that's failed miserably You've seen more tears Than I thought I had More fears than I knew existed Don't give up on me now Even if I give up on myself Don't give up on me now I only want to be I only want to be Strong enough to fight these storms of life Wanna have what it takes to make it by your side Wanna be what you need Want it to be you and me baby Don't give up on me now Even if I give up on myself Don't give up on me now I only want to be I only want to be Am I strong enough to fight these storms of life Do I have what it takes to make it by your side Strong enough to fight these storms of life Wanna have what it takes to make it by your side Wanna be what you need Want it to be you and me baby Wanna be what you need Want it to be you and me baby Strong enough to fight these storms of life

Anchor 02:27
When the summer sun fades And obession's long gone When feelings turn to choices And words are stripped raw Will you fight or fly away When the shhh hits the fan Will you remember who you are When life gets out of hand When the autumn leaves fall And the colors start changing When the winter winds breeze on in And turn my heart frigid Will emotions win me over Or my eyes be fixed on truth Will our feet still be standing On the rock that once held me and you Cause if we sail these waters And our anchor's not set Good luck to you my friend I wish you the best There's no hope for us, no success When the strength of our life Is our own and not His I say... Anchor down Anchor anchor me down Anchor down Anchor anchor me down

about

These songs were written during a time of darkness and deep struggle in my life and manifested from the hope of holding on through the storm to better times. It is in this vein that my vision for this album be used as a tool to bring aid and comfort to others in need.

Every purchase of this album directly correlates into feeding a hungry child for an entire day. You, the listener, make this possible! The Ameena Project is based in Kenya and is 100% volunteer run with the mission of coming alongside talented and passionate individuals who are committed to working with the most vulnerable children within their own communities.
